MicroCoat® coating method

The MicroCoat® coating method is especially aimed at on-site surface treatment of paper and board machines.

MicroCoat® ADVANCED coating has been developed in collaboration with VTT (VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland Ltd) and Tekes (Business Finland), among others. It can be used in even drier operating conditions than previously. The MicroCoat® ADVANCED coating process is done on site in factories, and the coating process is fast.

The coating forms a dirt-repellent layer of less than 1 μm on the surface of the part, which helps to keep it clean and reduces the growth of bacteria during use. In addition, it makes cleaning easier and faster.

MicroCoat® ADVANCED is a risk-free and environmentally friendly coating.

Applications:
  • Headboxes, pulp tubes, gratings, breastplates, strainers, wire wells, wire basins, wire ducts, steam boxes, coating stations and press rollers
Material requirements:

MicroCoat® is very suitable for surface treatment of metals as well as ceramic, rubber, and composite surfaces. The part to be coated does not need to be sandblasted or heat treated
